Your health and safety remain our top priority, and we have worked closely with the venue and health officials to develop operating protocols with the goal of providing a safe and enjoyable experience.

Ember Shores will follow all local and federal Mexico mandates and laws related to COVID-19, as well as United States federal laws for re-entry.

Mexico is open to travelers. There is no need to provide a negative PCR test or quarantine on arrival, though most resorts ask guests to fill out health questionnaires.

Before you travel home, you will need to get a COVID-19 viral test (regardless of vaccination status) before you travel by air into the United States. You must show your negative result to the airline before you board your flight. In addition to the test, Mexico charges a $12 USD tourist tax for departing tourists at the airport.

No Cost COVID-19 Testing

Both the Marriott and Paradisus offer no-cost COVID-19 testing on-site as part of your re-entry requirement.

Tests can be scheduled onsite at either the Marriott or Paradisus. Resort testing centers will be experiencing high volume. We recommend scheduling your test at least 24 hours in advance, before the desired testing time. Additional details for testing will be provided during check-in or on the official Ember Shores mobile app, which is available in the Apple and Google stores.

Recommended Test Timing: If leaving Monday, December 6th, the traveler must test Sunday, December 5th.

Testing Rules & Definitions for Re-Entry to the United States

Vaccinated or Unvaccinated Travelers: The viral test must be conducted on a sample taken no more than 1 day before the flight’s departure from a foreign country if you do not show proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Prior to your hotel departure, Ember Shores strongly advises fans check-in to their flights, as many airlines incorporate secondary applications to upload and verify testing information. We recommend fans check-in and upload test results in advance, when possible, to expedite their time at the airport.

I just recovered from COVID-19. How does that affect this policy?
If you recently recovered from COVID-19, you may instead travel with documentation of recovery from COVID-19 (i.e., your positive COVID-19 viral test result on a sample taken no more than 90 days before the flight’s departure from a foreign country and a letter from a licensed healthcare provider or a public health official stating that you were cleared to travel).

What if I contract COVID-19 while in Mexico?

Do I need to wear a mask?
At both the Marriott and Paradisus resorts, patrons are encouraged to wear a mask indoors in public areas such as check-in and common areas.
